Good question.

I bet you already have a "system" for remembering personal details about a coworker (e.g., their name and how to pronounce it, the kind of work they do or expertise they have, hobbies they've mentioned, if they have kids, if they have dietary restrictions which you need to accommodate when ordering food, etc.). Would the system you already use to remember these kinds of details be helpful in remembering other details such as the language they use to refer to their spouse?
