Len — I think you’re missing the point. Many software engineers don’t have code or pull requests they can share publicly on GitHub. They work behind firewalls on a company’s proprietary tech stack, developing software for that company. And they don’t have time or inclination to participate in open source or personal projects in their spare time, perhaps due to household or family responsibilities.
